2019 Annual General Meeting and Elections

The 2019 AGM will be held at the San Antonio Highland Games on 6 April, 2019, at 1:00PM. Details of the games can be seen here: https://www.sahga.org/

 According to our Constitution, The Clan Morrison Society of NA is holding elections for the positions of Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary, Membership/Treasurer, and Historian this year. As we have a contested election this time, paper ballots will be sent out with the next issue of the Sgian Dubh in April of this year. Voting will remain open until June 1st. Members can cast their ballots via the paper ballots we will be sending out, or via email sent to CMSNAvote@gmail.com.

Chris Gillmore, the incumbent, is running unopposed for the position of Chairman.

Larry Morrison, the incumbent, is running unopposed for the position of Vice-Chairman.

June Alvarez-Fetzer, the incumbent, is running unopposed for the position of Membership/Treasurer.

Dr. Bob Morrison, the incumbent, is running unopposed for the position of Secretary.

In an unusual turn of events, we have two candidates running for the position of Historian.

Bonnie K. Dunton, the incumbent Historian, is running.

Also, Michael Morrison, the challenger is running.


Bonnie K. Dunton, in her own words:

"In past years, I worked as an archaeological technician for the State of NH Archeaological Services, spent 25 years at the NH Farm Museum training Docents and working with Grades 3 to 6 teaching early life and agricultural skills etc. I have done geneaological research for many years for my own family and others, including Clan Morrison. At the Clan Tent, helping others interested in learning their own background, and Clan Morrison History. I am currently President of the Township of Milton NH Historical Society. Have been running the Clan Morrison Tent with Jan Tremblay for around twenty years. "


Michael Morrison, in his own words:

" I am a disabled Air Force veteran, currently employed as a Nuclear Technician at the Joseph M Farley Nuclear Plant in Alabama. I am a Co-founder of the Southeast Alabama Highland Games, serve on the Board of Directors, and currently serve as the Director of Vendors and Entertainment. I'm also a beekeeper! I have a deep interest in Clan Morrison history, and plan to implement some new projects to bring some life to the position of historian."
