I have been busily engaged in research into the Lochaber area, Kilmonivaig Parish, from Brae Lochaber north up the great Glen towards Glengarry not readilly associated with the name Morrison, however I managed to note some Morrisons settled there perhaps in association with the Caledonian Canal, and will post in the Genealogy section this weekend, it may help someone.

Morrisons arrived in USA in 1738 Argyll NY settlers ..

again in 1774 Glengarry MacDonnells -Morrison brought by ..Sr Wm Johnson ..a writer today is James Morrison on history of ..Am Revolution .
