descendant likely married janet douglas b 1840ish ..

new monklands -airlie area ..about 1860's ..

likely connection to Buchanan Morrisons ??

grgrandfather David Morrison b. about 1871 ..Monklands or ........Slannan or Slamman ? then to Stirling and Cowie area about 6 kids then Aberdeen .

my Ma was a Morrison I assume I am ineligible for the dna sample test ?

I have uncles and cousins male named Morrisons in Ca. and Scotland .

Y-DNA testing of a male Morrison uncle or cousin is the way to go. There is a good chance your line will match one of the Morrison DNA Project groups.
