Hi ...
I am trying to find the lineage for my Great Great Grandfather, John Morrison born circa 1814 in Waterford Ireland and came to Boston Massachusetts before 1840, dying in Troy NY in 1886. He had a son named Andrew, born 1853 in Rutland Vermont (my Great Grandfather). Andrew married Sarah Welch and had three children ... Andrew born 1881, Edward (My Grandfather) born 1883, and Sarah born 1888 ... all in Arlington, Vermont.

Genealogy only goes so far, maybe back a couple of hundred years or so if you are lucky.
The question is, are you a Scottish Morrison, or could you be an Irish Morrison?
There is considerable correlation between Irish and Scottish Morrisons.
That is why MSNA relies upon yDNA genetic testing.

Mark,
A Y-DNA test on a male Morrison cousin would be very useful in helping to direct further research.
