Re: Upcoming Events?

Hi, Sorry for the delay, I was out of state at a new festival in east Texas. There is a link below that should take you to a listing of the 2016 events where the Clan Morrison Society of NA usually has a booth or tent. The 2017 list will be compiled over the winter and posted in January. The 2016 li...

Festival Supplies Sources

I keep some stuff in the tent, primarily as give-a-way to kids and interested folks. Several folks in Arlington asked about sources, so when I got home I put this list together. These are the cheapest places I have found so far for the items. As usual, try an internet search for them as well. I have...

Re: Cap badges.

Rich Lovell, our NW Seneschal also has a couple of these three head badges. He sent the pics last year when we were putting together the on-line Conveners pack. I don't have source info for these.

Re: Cap badges.

Here's one version of the 3 head badge. Ailean Morrison McDavid (daughter of Col. Alan Morrison) spotted it in the antique section of a vendor display in Albuquerque last year. It matched one she was wearing that dated from the 1940's. From the clasp design and markings, this one is probably of that...

Re: Convener Starter Kit now online

Or, maybe a kilt that fits in with the "rustic" look and has pockets ... http://www.utilikilts.com/shop/ or a Kommando... http://www.kommandokilts.com/ez-catalog/X374017/12/Kom%20Kilt I guess the main thing to take away is that there is no "one" right way. You can go from traditional to modern. Morr...

Re: Convener Starter Kit now online

Doug, You will fit right in at any festival! T-shirts and kilts are all over the place. Let me suggest something to try. Next time you go to a festival, find a vendor selling kilts. Often they have many stock kilts in dozens of tartans (but usually not Morrison), solid colors, canvas, etc. The nice ...

Re: Convener Starter Kit now online

Hi Doug, Highland clothing is a very individualistic statement. I'm not aware of anything that would be specific to Morrison or any individual clan other than the tartan and Clan Badge. Perhaps other can help here. There is a list in another topic in this section that will show where you can find Mo...

Convener Starter Kit now online

Conveners are those volunteers that set up booths and tents at festivals all across North America. They are the life blood of the Society's education and recruiting efforts and do it all at their own expense. We need more, many more. Presently, we cover about 1/4 of all games and festivals. There ar...
