Re: Group H3

Hello I noticed that my kit is listed twice in Group H3. The entry I remember making listed Finlay Morrison as my ancestor (i.e., the second entry for kit 636133 in the current table).

Is this a typo, or is there another explanation?

Re: Morrisons who emigrated to Nova Scotia

This is what I know: the Morrisons I can trace are were resident in Baddeck, Nova Scotia and were RCs. ANGUS (my GGGF) married Christy MacLeod. Their son RODERICK (my GGF) married Catherine MacLean. Group H3

Hello - my results were recently added to Subgroup H3 (Fife and N. Uist, Scotland). My line is from North Uist (circa 1820) and moved to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia around 1833.

I'd like to compare notes with anyone from H3 or from North Uist in general.

Re: Participating in the Morrison DNA Project

Wonderful - thanks very much.
I predicted I would be clustered into 'J', but this is an interesting surprise.

My results are in: kit# 636133 (ftdna Y-37)

I figured it out (I think). :)

I bought a Y-DNA37 kit from Family Tree DNA. Now I wait for it to be delivered.....

Re: Morrisons of Cape Breton - Having trouble

Hi Dave - I also have Morrisons from Cape Breton, but none from the Sydney area (that I know about). All my Morrisons are from Inverness County. If you come across any Inverness County connections I'd appreciate anything you can share. I will do the same if I find any Sydney River connections. Cheers.
